Those of you who’ve been roaming the Twitterverse will probably be aware of the #kidlitchat and #yalitchat that happen each week. We’re delighted to announce there will be a #pblitchat starting next week for all of us who are passionate about picture books. (Sorry to middle-grade novels, YA novels and chapter books – you just don’t have the same charm as picture books…) At the conclusion of each of the sessions we’ll put a transcript of the chat here on the Picture Books Only blog.
If you’d like to be a part of a weekly discussion group devoted to picture books only, just follow these simple steps:
1. Sign-up for Twitter. It’s free and easy and will connect you with a whole heap of people you otherwise would never have had the pleasure of meeting. Seriously. It’s awesome!
2. Log-on to Twitter on Mar 29/30 (depending on your time zone – see the list below) and look out for all the comments with the #pblitchat tag. (You may find it easier to follow the discussion if you use another program that links to Twitter like Tweetchat. This will enable you to ONLY see those comments that are tagged #pblitchat.)
3. Jump in the conversation and enjoy the chat!
So, without further ado, here’s the date and time for the inaugural #pblitchat:
AUSTRALIA - Tuesday, March 30
Brisbane: 12 noon – 1pm
Melbourne: 1-2pm
